Phra Pathom Chedi National Museum
         
          In the present, there are lots of museum in Thailand. Some where tell about history of Thailand but the museum of Nakhon Phathom provice has different of present other places. There are three zones and each zone tell about Phra Pathom Chedi.

          “ Initiated in the reign of King Rama V by Prince Damrongrajanubhap, who planned to gather artefacts scattered across Nakhon Pathom, Phra Pathom Chedi National Museum has developed over time. Its current exhibition presents the history of the province and consists of three sections.

          Zone 1 starts with an introduction to present-day Nakhon Pathom, including its geography, economy and demography. This is followed by its history. Visitors will see evidence of prehistoric dwellers found in the area, dating back 2,000-3,000 years.

          Zone 2 of the museum focuses on beliefs and religions through art mostly related to Buddhism - the main faith of Dvaravati culture.

          Zone 3 showcases the history and development of Nakhon Pathom during the Rattanakosin period. Objects on view include a model of Pathom Nakhon Palace - the residence of King Mongkut during his visit to Nakhon Pathom - and Buddha images found at Phra Pathom Chedi as well as a model of present-day Nakhon Pathom town. The highlights are models of Phra Pathom Chedi, whose shape has been altered several times since the Dvaravati period.”

          From the article, in Rama 5, Damrongrajanubhap  planed for building Phra Pathom Chedi. Inside Phra Pathom Chedi national museum has developed and present about history of province. There are 3 parts; the first part, it presents about geography, economic and demography. Moreover, the tourist will learn the evidence of 2,000 – 3,000 years ago. The second part, it presents about religious, belief and relate the Buddhism. The third part, it presents about develop of Rattanakosin period that the shape of Nakhon Pathom palace during king Mongkut visit to Nakhon Pathom.

             To sum up, from this article, Phra Pathom Chedi National Museum has 3 parts for present about the story of Nakhon Pathom, Phra Pathom Chedi. It tells in the Rama 5 by Damrongrajanubhap. In my opinion, I like this article because it’s present the history of Thailand and tells about important of Phra Pathom Chedi that this place ever live by king Mongkut.
